If you're like me, you're ready for Spring to get here. I'm not trying to rush things, I could just go for some greenery. Sure, Winter has it's moments. Holidays and snow days. Super bowls and the start of College basketball. (Go Cards!!) I just kinda long for the sounds and smells of Spring. The allergies and bugs kinda suck, but hey you can't win them all.

Sometimes it feels like Winter will never end. The deadness of it all can really wear on the psyche. I'm grateful that I know that Winter will not last forever, no matter how long it seems to take Spring will arrive right on time.
The Bible tells us in Genesis 8:22 (NIV)   “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.” We are promised that no one season will ever outlast, overthrow or overpower another. From time to time in our lives it feels as though the hard times, the struggles will never come to an end. The Winter seasons of life seem to drag on forever in our minds. This time of our lives is not permanent. The Bible calls it a "light, momentary affliction". In the middle of the issue it seems overwhelming. After it has run it's course and we find ourselves in another season, we realize that it wasn't the end of the world.
Keep your heads up, this Winter is almost gone. Spring will be here before we know it. The same goes for humanity as well. This world of sin will not stay like this forever. There will be a Spring that comes. Jesus will return and make things that are dead come back to life. This world will know the glorious restoration that God intends. The same goes for your everyday life. There is a Spring that is coming, A King is coming. Change is on it's way. The clouds will give way to the sun. The earth will rejoice when it's redemption arrives. So will we. Today is the day that the Lord has made, rejoice. Your troubles are under His control, they are subject to His timetable. Trust Him. He said He would return, He said your troubles would last in this world but not in eternity. Winter is not your permanent destination. You were created to live. Not just for a season but forever.
